RGW KO KATANA

THE RGW KO KATANA HAS ONCE AGAIN BEEN DEVELOPED FROM CUSTOMER REQUEST AND FEEDBACK.THE BLADE IS IDENTICAL IN SPEC TO THE RGW WAKIZASHI BUT WITH THE ADDITION OF AN EXTENDED NAKAGO AND TSUKA EQUAL TO THAT OF A KATANA.THIS SERVES NOT ONLY TO PROVIDE AN IMPROVED AND SAFER GRIP THAN A WAKIZASHI ALLOWING FOR TWO HANDS TO BE USED IF REQUIRED BUT ALSO A SUPERIOR BALANCE SO GIVING FANTASTIC SPEED AND CUTTING ABILITY.

WITH A WEIGHT OF 1 ~ 1.2kg incl. SAYA (WITH OR WITHOUT BO-HI) AND A BALANCE POINT OF 6cm THIS MAKES THE KO KATANA FEEL AMAZINGLY LIGHT IN THE HAND.

Firstly I just want to thank you for the great service and continuous advice that you've given me. This was my first katana and your suggestions were invaluable.
Also thanks a lot for you patience and your prompt replies to my 500 questions!

So, I have received my katana a few days ago and I have to say it is just STUNNING! I just can't keep my eyes off it!

I opted for a dark blue ito which matches perfectly with the brass finish of my musashi tsuba and dragon menuki. The ito is very tightly wrapped around the tsuka which makes the handling very good.

I also chose to add the ray skin on the saya as well and the final result is beautiful. It also helps the black saya to blend nicely with the dark blue ito.

Regarding the blade I opted for the bo-hi version to improve my cutting movements since it helps with the sound and it also reduces the weight a bit. I chose the 1095 folded clay hardened blade with the real hamon and the construction is excellent. The hamon is really nicely done and looking closely you can see the folds on the blade.

Overall the katana is very well balanced, everything fits well together and looks beautiful.

I thoroughly recommend you for this excellent service that you provided and a stunning katana for a great price.
